Rear Admiral Charles P. Kirol

Rear Adm. Kirol is a native of Holbrook, New York and a 1993 graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He also received his commission via the Navy Enlisted Commissioning program in December 1993. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Indiana University and a Logistics Certification from the University of North Carolina through the DoD LOGTECH Supply Chain program.

He served on active duty aboard Submarine Squadron Two; USS Albuquerque (SSN-706) and Submarine Group Two.  

Affiliating with the Navy Reserve (NR) in 2000, his reserve assignments include Harbor Defense Command 201, Defense Contract Management Agency Baltimore, Navy Regional Contracting Command Naples, Navy Supply Support Battalion 2 (NSSB-2) as well as Navy Cargo Handling Port Group 3 (NAVCHAPGRU-3) and NR Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Logistics Readiness Center Headquarters.

His command tours include 2nd Navy Expeditionary Logistics Regiment; NR NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella Det HQ; DLA Troop Support Philadelphia and Navy Cargo Handling Battalion Eight.

In 2001, he was mobilized and forward deployed in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom with Harbor Defense Command. In 2007, he mobilized to CENTCOM as the chief staff officer for Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group (NAVELSG) Forward – Golf.

His warfare qualifications include both Submarine Supply Corps officer and Navy Expeditionary Supply Corps officer.

Personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Navy Commendation Medal (seven awards), and Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards).

In his civilian career, he is the Chief Global Operations and Technology Officer (GOAT) for iRobot where he leads all the manufacturing, logistics, fulfillment and servicing of all consumer robotics products as well as all Enterprise and Digital Technology services globally.
