Tracy Hines

Rear Adm. Tracy Hines is the first black woman admiral in the information professional (IP) community, and is currently the Navy’s cyber security division director, in the office of the CNO. Rising to the rank of a chief petty officer before earning her commission as a limited duty officer, Hines laterally transferred to the IP community as a lieutenant. She has served on aircraft carriers in the Western Pacific and the Arabian Gulf, and has supported SEAL teams, EOD units, and other special operators in Iraq. Prior to her current role as Navy cyber security division director, Hines served as the executive assistant to the 32nd CNO.
