Find out your chances for advancement this cycle
Petty officer advancement quotas were released today showing opportunity for over 22,000 Sailors to advance to E4, E5 and E6 when the Petty Officer list is posted later this week.
"Advancements are critical to our overall strategy for managing enlisted communities and delivering readiness to the Fleet," said Fleet Master Chief April Beldo, Manpower, Personnel Education and Training. "Current advancement opportunity is beginning to stabilize closer to historic norms as we see the number of vacancies return to historic levels."
This cycle sees a small decline for all paygrades after four consecutive increases in active duty E4 and E5 opportunity and three consecutive increases for E6 opportunity. However, opportunity for all paygrades is above the 10 year average.
Nearly 10,000 eligible Sailors will advance to E4 for a 43.77 percent opportunity, decreasing from last cycle's opportunity of 47.70 percent. E5 advancement opportunity decreased from 32.42 percent to 26.51 percent and opportunity for E6 advancement decreased from 19.59 percent to 17.46 percent.
Ratings showing zero opportunity to advance were those limited by automatic advancement and conversions.
Advancement results are expected to be posted later this week on the Navy Personnel Command's Bupers On-Line Web page at www.npc.navy.mil

When does SELRES quota come out?
My rate isn't on here at all (AG). Does this mean we just aren't promoting across the board?
Is there a link for quotas for SELRES??
If that is true then why isn't my rate there? I am so confused! SHould there be another set of quotas coming out?
There is no link for SELRES quotas, only active and FTS. Where are the SELRES quotas?
The RESERVE quota is for FTS, not the same as SELRES which most Reservists are.
