  • An F/A-18E Super Hornet from the Argonauts of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 147 launches from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The ship is underway conducting Tailored Ship's Training Availability and Final Evaluation Problem (TSTA/FEP), which evaluates the crew on their performance during training drills and real-world scenarios. Once Nimitz completes TSTA/FEP they will begin Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) and Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) in preparation for an upcoming 2017 deployment.   • An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the Black Aces of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 41 lands on USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) flight deck during flight operations. The equipment in the foreground is used to secure aircraft to the deck when not in use. John C.   • Sailors assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) look for a target aboard the USNS Yukon (T-AO 202) as the two ships pull alongside each other. When the ships are side-by-side, one of the ships will shoot a shot line to the other in order to send a messenger and span wire across to the other vessel. Once the span wire is connected, the process of deploying the fuel hoses is set in motion. Nimitz is underway conducting Tailored Ship's Training Availability and Final Evaluation Problem (TSTA/FEP), which evaluates the crew on their performance during training drills and real-world scenarios.   • Sailors retire the national ensign during evening colors on the flight deck of the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The ship completed a scheduled three-month patrol in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region during which it participated in exercises Valiant Shield, Invincible Spirit and Keen Sword. The crew also completed its Unit Level Training Assessment-Sustainment and Maintenance and Material Management Assessment. USS Carney Completes Second FDNF Patrol

Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) returned to Naval Station Rota, Spain, Dec. 2, completing its second forward-deployed ballistic missile defense patrol in the U.S. 6th fleet area of operations.
