  • Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) render honors as the ship comes alongside the USS Pearl Harbor Memorial as the ship arrives in Pearl Harbori for a scheduled port visit. Dewey is on a scheduled deployment to conduct operations in the Indo-Pacific region with the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) in order to advance U.S. Pacific Fleet's Up-Gunned ESG concept.   • Sailors assigned to the "Red Rippers" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11 wash an F/A-18F Super Hornet on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Harry S. Truman is underway for acomposite training unit exercise which will evaluate the strike group's ability as a whole to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea and ultimately certifying the Harry S.   • Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman Joseph Paterniti prepares to compete in the swimming portion of the Team Navy trials at Naval Station (NAVSTA) Mayport's fitness center in preparation for the 2018 Department of Defense Warrior Games. Navy Wounded Warrior-Safe Harbor and NAVSTA Mayport are hosting the trials where athletes will qualify in eight adaptive sports including archery, track and field, cycling, wheelchair basketball, shooting, sitting volleyball and swimming.   • Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 1st Class Nathaniel Edwards mans a .50-caliber machine gun from an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the "Sea Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 during a live-fire exercise. HSC-22 is deployed aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Bonhomme Richard is participating in Exercise Cobra Gold 2018 alongside Royal Thai Navy conducting a range of amphibious operations that will enhance the tactical expertise of participants and rehearse combined capabilities to respond to contingencies.
