  • Sailors and Marines assigned to amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) and 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit play with the students of Yan Chai Hospital Nina Lam Kindgarten and Child Care Centre during a cultural exchange event coordinated by Boxer's Relegious Ministries Department. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit team are visiting Hong Kong during their first port visit since departing San Diego on deployment. While in port the Sailors and Marines have the opportunity to enjoy local culture and cuisine, attend organized tours, and participate in cultural exchanges and sporting events with local groups. (U. James Rodgers, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, in a 5k run for women's history month, March 27, 2016, during the MEU's western pacific deployment aboard the USS Boxer.   • Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson (right) presents the George Van Cleave USO Military Leadership Award to Navy Aircrewman Helicopter 2nd Class Daniel Harlow at the 56th Armed Forces Gala and Gold Medal Dinner in New York City. Each year, the USO George Van Cleave Military Leadership Award is given to one service member from each branch who, through their selfless commitment to country, inspire others and uplift the spirits of their comrades, their families, and the American people. Harlow received the award in recognition of his heroic actions rescuing more than 50 civilians during relief operations following the devastation of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Jose and Maria. The USO is a private, non-profit organization that seeks to strengthen America's military by keeping them connected to their family and nation. Five CIWT Domain Sailors Recognized by NETC for Training Excellence

Five Sailors from the Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT) domain were recognized by Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) during the 2017 Sailor and Military Instructors of the Year ceremony at the National Naval Aviation Museum onboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, Dec. 14.
