VT-6 Sees End of 15-Year Pilot Program  (3 February 2010)
Training Squadron 6 saw the end of a 15-year program with Argentina Jan. 29 with a simple send off ceremony for an exchange pilot. Argentina has been sending their pilots to the squadron to serve as an instructors since 1994.
TRAWING 5 Initiates Training on T-6B Texan  (21 April 2010)
Training Air Wing (TRAWING) 5 initiated its first class into ground school training for the new T-6B flight syllabus April 19 at Naval Air Station Whiting Field.
Whiting Field Helps Teach Students to Respect Nature  (26 April 2010)
Naval Air Station (NAS) Whiting Field and Santa Rosa County Extension Services-4H (SRCES-4H) teamed up to teach students from Bagdad Elementary School the elements of nature, the importance of recycling and the effect energy conservation can have on the environment April 23.
VT-3 Prepares for 50th Anniversary  (28 April 2010)
The Red Knights of Training Squadron (VT) 3 will be golden May 1 when they reach their 50th anniversary. The unit will celebrate the milestone April 28 and 29, and are looking for former squadron members to help mark the occasion.
First Student Takes Flight in T-6  (19 May 2010)
It was another historic day for Training Squadron 3 and Training Wing 5 as the first student naval aviator to train in the T-6B Texan II took flight at Naval Air Station (NAS) Whiting Field May 18.
