Training Air Wing 2 is expected to resume flight operations Oct. 2, a day after a T-45 Goshawk crashed about two miles north of the NAS Kingsville on land owned by the King Ranch.
T-45 Crashes at Acadiana   (2 November 2007)
A T-45 Goshawk from Training Air Wing 2 at Naval Air Station Kingsville, Texas crashed at 6:52 p.m. shortly after taking off from Acadiana Regional Airport near New Iberia, La., Nov. 1.
Chief of Naval Air Training Halts TH-57 Flight Operations  (5 March 2008)
Chief of Naval Air Training made a decision to temporarily reduce flight operations of 108 TH-57 Sea Ranger helicopters from Training Wing (TRAWING) 5 at NAS Whiting Field, Milton, Fla., March 3, for safety reasons.
T-34 Crash Near Ashville, Alabama  (17 March 2008)
A T-34C Turbomentor, a two-seat training aircraft, assigned to Training Squadron 6 based out of Whiting Field in Milton crashed approximately 60 miles north of Birmingham, Ala. March 14.

Navy Approves Two-Year Schedule for Blue Angels  (17 June 2009)
The Navy approved a two-year scheduling process in coordination with the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) for the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (Blue Angels) to provide Navy recruiting and the air show industry with more time to plan for air future air shows.
