Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi air traffic control tower lost contact with a T-34C Turbomentor aircraft at approximately 3:20 p.m. Oct. 28.

The search for two instructor pilots of Training Squadron 28 continues Oct. 30 after losing contact with them approximately 3:20 p.m. Oct. 28.
TH-57 Helicopter Crashes in Florida  (30 October 2009)
At 1:45 p.m. Oct. 30, a TH-57 Bell Jet Helicopter operated by two naval aviators crashed near Indian Ford Road, northeast of Milton, Fla.
Body of T-34 Pilot Found  (2 November 2009)
The Coast Guard recovered the body of one pilot from a Navy T-34C Turbomentor training aircraft Oct. 30.
Search, Rescue Mission Suspended  (2 November 2009)
The Coast Guard suspended the search and rescue mission for the second pilot of the downed Navy T-34C Turbomentor training aircraft Nov. 1 at about 7 p.m.
T-34C Pilot Identified  (19 November 2009)
The remains of Lt. John Joseph Houston were positively identified by medical personnel of Training Squadron 28 Nov. 18.
T-34 Turbomentor Mishap Pilot Identified   (25 January 2010)
One pilot is recovering and one is presumed dead following a training flight that crashed into Lake Ponchartrain, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. The two pilots were attached to Training Squadron 6 at Naval Air Station Whiting Field.
Navy Lieutenant's Body Found   (27 January 2010)
Volunteer divers from Gulf States Dive and Rescue working in conjunction with Crowder Gulf Disaster Recovery and Debris Management recovered the body of a Training Squadron 6 instructor pilot Jan. 27.

The chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) hosted the Former CNATRA Conference on board Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi, Texas, March 26.
Navy T-39 Crashes Near Blue Ridge, Georgia  (12 April 2010)
A T-39N Sabreliner crashed near Ellijay, Ga., at approximately 4 p.m. April 12. There were four personnel aboard the aircraft assigned to Training Air Wing 6 based out of Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla.
Navy Identifies Casualties of T-39 Crash  (14 April 2010)
The names of the four Sailors killed in the crash of a T-39N Sabreliner near Blue Ridge, Ga., April 12, were released.
Blue Angels Announce New Commanding Officer  (29 April 2010)
The Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, The Blue Angels, announced the commanding officer for the 2011 and 2012 teams.

The Navy and the Boeing Company celebrated Naval Air Training Command's one millionth flight hour of the T-45 Goshawk aircraft, the Navy's premier jet trainer, Aug. 26 at Cecil Field in Jacksonville.
Navy T-45 Crashes Near Tallahassee  (29 December 2010)
A U. S. Navy T-45C Goshawk training jet assigned to Training Air Wing Six crashed east of Tallahassee, Fla. while conducting a training mission at approximately 10:15 a.m. CST, Dec. 29.
