The Naval Research Laboratory's satellite suite, the Atmospheric Neutral Density Experiment 2 (ANDE-2), was deployed from NASA's Space Shuttle Endeavour July 30.

ORMatE Returns to NRL After 18-Month Orbit of ISS  (6 October 2009)
Naval Research Laboratory's (NRL) Optical Reflector Material Experiment (ORMatE-1) returned to NRL's Electronics Science and Technology Division after an 18-month mission orbiting the International Space Station (ISS) Sept. 2.
Ion Tiger Fuel Cell Unmanned Air Vehicle Completes 23-Hour Flight  (13 October 2009)
The Naval Research Laboratory's (NRL's) Ion Tiger, a hydrogen-powered fuel cell unmanned air vehicle (UAV), flew 23 hours and 17 minutes, setting an unofficial flight endurance record for a fuel-cell powered flight during a test Oct. 9-10 at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

NRL Sensor Observes First Light  (3 December 2009)
Special Sensor Ultraviolet Limb Imager observes first light. SSULI data products will be used operationally at the Air Force Weather Agency and as inputs into operational Space Weather models.
