TR Motorcycle Club Rides for Safety (10 May 2013)
Fourteen Sailors from USS Theodore Roosevelt's (CVN 71) Motorcycle Club revved their bikes at the Norfolk Navy Exchange (NEX) parking lot May 3 to go on a ride with Sailors from commands throughout the Hampton Roads area, emphasizing safety.
Through a combination of tug boats and the power of the natural tide, USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) performed an about face maneuver and shifted 180 degrees at its pier May 17, putting it another step closer to leaving the shipyard in Newport News, Va. and returning to the operational fleet.
