USS Rushmore (LSD 47) welcomed the commanding officer of an Army National Guard unit based out of Cheyenne, Wyo., Feb. 2; it was the leader's first time aboard a Navy warship.

Deployed BHR Sailors Cut Hair, Donate to Kids in Need  (8 February 2010)

Two female Sailors aboard USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) cut off over 10 inches of their hair while at sea in January to a donate to a public non-profit organization called Locks of Love, which makes customized hair prosthetics for children experiencing long term hair loss.

Bonhomme Richard Celebrates Supply Corps Birthday  (25 February 2010)

The amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) celebrated the 215th birthday of the Supply Corps Feb. 23 with a cake-cutting ceremony on the ship's mess decks.
