Builder 1st Class Mark A. Wells, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5, was awarded the Steelworker 2nd Class Robert D. Stethem award during a ceremony, March 5.
UCT 2 Completes Pearl Harbor Pier Repairs  (11 April 2016)
Underwater Construction Team 2's Construction Dive Detachment Alpha completed maintenance and repairs at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Feb. 29.

Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5 Sailors completed the Airfield Damage Repair portion of their Field Training Exercise (FTX) April 21.
30th NCR Holds Change of Command  (1 July 2016)
The 30th Naval Construction Regiment (30 NCR) held a change of command ceremony at Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, June 30.
West Coast Seabees Welcome New Commodore  (6 July 2016)
Hundreds of Seabees, family members, and guests gathered at Naval Base Ventura County's Port Hueneme parade field to welcome the newest commodore of Naval Construction Group (NCG) 1 during a change of command ceremony, July 1.
US, Timor-Leste Begin Bilateral Training  (2 August 2016)
U.S. Navy units from Commander, Task Force 75, U.S. Marines, and Forsa Defesa Timor-Leste (F-FDTL) service members kicked off the 4th annual Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Timor-Leste during a opening ceremony at Port Hera Naval Base, Aug. 1.
30th Naval Construction Regiment Receives Meritorious Unit Commendation  (22 November 2016)
Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson awarded the Meritorious Unit Commendation (MUC) to the 30th Naval Construction Regiment (30 NCR) for its work throughout the Pacific, Nov. 17.
Seabees Commence 75th Anniversary Celebrations  (19 January 2017)
U.S. Navy Seabees from around Naval Base Ventura County gathered at the Seabee Museum, Jan. 18, to kick off a series of celebrations throughout 2017 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the creation of the Naval Construction Force, March 5, 1942.

Seabees from around Naval Base Ventura County gathered at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the U.S. Navy Seabees, 150th Anniversary of the Civil Engineer Corps, and 175 years of Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Feb. 25.
Post Office Renamed in Honor of Fallen Seabees  (1 June 2017)
The Port Hueneme post office was renamed the U.S. Naval Construction Battalion "Seabees" Fallen Hero post office during a ceremony, May 31.
