Michelle Tanalega, an instructor at the Surface Warfare Officer School (SWOS), goes over the operation of a Conning Officer Virtual Environment (NSS COVE I) simulator with Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Midshipman 1st Class James Olsen, a rising senior at the George Washington University from Portland, Oregon. More than 15 midshipmen, from NROTC units across the country, competed to be named the 2018 NROTC National Ship-handler of the Year. Fleet Cyber Command Officer is First JAG to Earn IWO Pin

Cmdr. Danielle Higson, deputy staff judge advocate assigned to U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/ U.S. 10th Fleet (FCC/C10F), became the first member of the Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps in the Navy to earn the Information Warfare Officer pin during a ceremony held at FCC Headquarters Aug. 10.
