Fleet Week New York provides an opportunity for the citizens of New York to witness first-hand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services and gain a better understanding of how the sea services support the maritime strategy and national defense of the United States.   • Cmdr. Janet H. Days, executive officer of the Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer USS McFaul (DDG 74), greets Chairman Randy Forbes of the House Armed Services' Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee prior to a tour of the ship. Forbes, along with other representatives, also toured Nimitz Class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Naval Academy Superintendent Flies with the Blues

Vice Adm. Ted Carter, superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), flew with the Blue Angels May 25th during their demonstration show in Annapolis in support of Commissioning Week for the Class of 2016.
