Rear Admiral Priscilla B. Coe


Rear Adm. Priscilla Coe is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is a 1975 graduate of University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History. She holds a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the State University of Buffalo, School of Dentistry in Buffalo, New York.

Receiving initial orders to Navy Dental Clinic, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, she served two years in this command prior to being transferred to the Naval Hospital, Camp Lejeune as the staff dental officer.

Coe transitioned to the Navy Reserve (NR) in 1988 and served with NR Naval Dental Clinic Camp Lejeune Det 107. After a five month active duty for special work assignment at the Naval Training Center, Orlando, Florida, she opened a private general dentistry practice in Naples, Florida, in 1990. She served as the commanding officer of four units to include NR Naval Hospital Jacksonville Det 1108;  NR Naval Dental Clinic Pensacola Det 108; Collecting and Clearing Company Bravo, 4th Medical Battalion, 4th Force Service Support Group (4th FSSG); and 4th Dental Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group.

She has serve in numerous staff positions including administrative officer, 4th Medical Battalion, 4th FSSG; Staff Dental Officer, Readiness Command Southwest; and deputy chief of Staff (Reserve Component), Navy Medicine National Capital Area.

In 2009, she mobilized to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center as the deputy director, Navy Expeditionary Medical Unit 10. Following this mobilization she was recalled to serve as the Dental Corps Reserve Affairs officer, Bureau Medicine and Surgery. She is a graduate of the Air Command and Staff and Air War College.

Coe’s decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (six awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), National Defense Service Medal (two awards), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Medal, Navy Pistol Marksmanship Medal (Expert) and the Fleet Marine Force Warfare Qualified Officer insignia.
