Rear Admiral Jacquelyn McClelland


Rear Adm. Jacquelyn McClelland, a native of Ocean City, New Jersey, earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Temple University in 1987, was commissioned in 1990 and earned a master’s degree in criminal justice from Boston University in 2006. She is also a graduate of the U.S. Naval War College Command and Staff Program and completed coursework at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Her previous Navy Reserve (NR) assignments include, NR Naval Supply Center Norfolk Headquarters (HQ), NR Naval Region Contracting Center (NRCC) London Det, NR Cargo Handling Training Battalion, NR Navy Petroleum Office HQ, NR Navy Regional Contracting Center Naples 106 and NR Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Contingency Support Team HQ.

Her command tours include Navy Cargo Handling Battalion 12, NR Navy Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville and DLA Distribution as the joint team lead.

McClelland mobilized in 2009 as commanding officer, DLA Support Team – Afghanistan where her team was embedded with the Army’s 101st Airborne Division, Joint Logistics Command, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. She deployed again in 2010 as the deputy group commander, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group Forward in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Most recently, she served as deputy chief of staff, fleet operations, NAVSUP Global Logistics Support.

Her personal decorations include the Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards). She is a qualified Navy Expeditionary Supply Corps officer.

In her civilian employment, McClelland is a special agent with IRS Criminal Investigation and is currently assigned to the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, Washington, D.C.
