BANGOR, Wash. (NNS) -- The Trident Training Facility (TTF), Bangor was awarded the Education and Training Excellence Award for FY 2005 from Vice Adm. J. Kevin Moran, commander, Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) March 21.
The Training E is awarded annually to the best Learning Center, Learning Site, Training Support Center, and Training Support Department in the NETC claimancy.
The Training Team at Bangor has worked hard getting a lead angle on the force distribution shifts that are changing the submarine mission sets TTF Bangor traditionally delivered, said Capt. Hass Moyer, commanding officer, TTF Bangor. I am very proud of how resilient the team is to the changes and the creative solutions they are able to provide to ensure the future training products we will deliver meet the new fleet requirements.
Training E Award recipients epitomize the talent, dedication, professionalism, and commitment to mission accomplishment in support of Sea Warrior and the Revolution in Training.
This is the eighth and ninth Training E awards for TTF Bangor, winning both the Training Site and Training Support Department categories.
TTF Bangor provides enhanced fleet combat readiness through superior individual, advanced, and team training for SSN, SSBN, and SSGN submarines, and surface ships.
