ARLINGTON (NNS) -- Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) will host the 4th Annual National Personnel Accountability conference in the Joe Rosenthal Theater in Arlington, Va., April 2-3.
This year's conference theme focuses on developing personnel accountability (PA) knowledge and increasing PA execution expertise and processes at the installation and command levels. In addition it will highlight ways to improve overall personnel and family readiness and awareness.
The schedule of events for the two-day conference is comprised of presentations that focus on the latest in PA execution; Navy Family Preparedness and Response (NFAAS); as well as discussions on the updates to the DoD and Navy PA policy and procedures. New program initiatives in NFAAS/PA functionalities and CNIC PA metric expectations will also be discussed.
"The goal of the conference is to bring Navy PA subject matter experts, installation commanding officer representatives and action officers together to review lessons learned from recent real-world events and to solidify a way ahead for increased PA and disaster response performance." said Capt. Ray Pietrzak, CNIC's Navy Family Accountability & Recovery director.
CNIC is the Navy's executive agent for personnel accountability -- including Navy families -- in the event of natural or man-made catastrophic events worldwide.
