VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (NNS) -- Shoppers who want to avoid the holiday rush can now shop from home via the Navy Exchange's Web site at www.navy-nex.com. Once online, shoppers can access the Exchange Mail Order Catalog.
"By using the Exchange Mail Order Catalog, members are awarded the benefits of the Navy Exchange, even if they can't make it to a store," said Rear Adm. William J. Maguire, Commander, Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM). "The website allows military exchange customers to shop from anywhere when it's convenient for them, whether that's from home or aboard ship while deployed."
The catalog offers items including giftware, housewares, electronics, jewelry, computers, tools and much much more. Shoppers can check daily for new items, closeout savings and special promotions that will offer additional savings. Each item is shown in full color and comes with a detailed description to make the selection decision easier. Gift certificates in a variety of denominations are also available.
When you purchase an item from the catalog, there is no charge for shipping and handling on most items. However, priority shipping is available for overnight delivery for a nominal fee. And, as with all Navy Exchange purchases, you pay no sales tax. Purchases can be made with a credit card or Military Star card, and can be delivered right to your home or shipped directly to the gift recipient's home at no additional cost.
The profits from merchandise sold support Navy Morale Welfare Recreation quality of life programs.
