WASHINGTON (NNS) -- The United States Navy Band presents "Total Force … Total Performance," a concert celebrating the Navy's 234th Birthday Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington.
Hosted by Chief of Naval Operations, Adm. Gary Roughead, this entertaining and inspiring concert pays tribute to the Navy, its global mission, and its Sailors.
Capt. George N. Thompson conducts the combined forces of the Concert Band, Sea Chanters chorus, Country Current country-bluegrass group and Cruisers contemporary entertainment ensemble as they showcase the proud heritage of the United States Navy. The production focuses on each of the Navy's fleets and their respective areas of operation, with each ensemble bringing a unique sound and musical perspective that represents the areas depicted in the narration.
