First Navy, Air Force Child, Youth Program Conference

WASHINGTON (NNS) -- The first joint Navy and Air Force Child and Youth Program (CYP) Conference is scheduled for Jan. 24-28, 2010, in Dallas.

More than 600 CYP professionals from around the world will attend the conference to train, share best practices, network with other CYP professionals and learn about new CYP program opportunities.

The conference, with the theme "Better Together," will focus on working together as a team and collaborating between field program managers and community and national partners. Additionally, the joint conference will help build lasting partnerships between the Navy and Air Force CYP professionals.

Conference participants will choose from more than 60 sessions and presenters. Keynote speakers will include Jim Carroll, global futurist, trends and innovation expert; Tyler Greene, founder of Ability Awareness; Angela Huebner, military family deployment expert; and Jones Loflin, co-author.
