Sailor Found Dead on Enterprise
From Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/5th Fleet Public Affairs
MANAMA, Bahrain (NNS) -- A Sailor assigned to USS Enterprise (CVN 65) was found deceased on April 19 while the ship was conducting operations in support of Operation New Dawn in the Arabian Gulf.
The Sailor's family has been notified. The Navy conveys its condolences to the family for their loss.
An investigation into the cause of death is ongoing.

I am SO sorry for their family and friends. I lost my oldest daughter two years ago and thought my world would end. All I can say is IT WILL GET EASIER. Keep your head up and remember how they were when you saw them in their ususal life. It should bring a small bit of a smile from time to time. You ALL are in my thoughts and prayers!!!!!!!! GODS SPEED!!!!!

Worst nightmare. Last place i'd want to depart the pattern. I hope it was a peaceful transition. It makes me sick to know that otherwise his last second was filled with a lifetime of loneliness and the pain of knowing he'd never see his loved ones again and what they'd go through upon hearing the news. Of my 21 years and counting, spent 10 actual years above and below the sea. That aspect is my worst fear.

I saw this post a couple af days ago and i could not find the words to express my deepest symphathy to the family of this sailor. MAY you find confert in knowing i will keep you in my prayers.

So sorry for the family of the sailor who died on board. My son was stationed on the Enterprise in the 80s. Just thankful he made it back home from the Persian Gulf. May God send the Comforter to be close to this family.
