Run for the Wall Makes Stop in Mississippi

MERIDIAN, Miss. (NNS) -- Naval Air Station Meridian, Miss., Color Guard members presented colors at a welcome luncheon for participants in the 23rd Annual Run for the Wall in Jackson, Miss., May 23.

The event brought together nearly 655 motorcyclists and hundreds of community members to honor our country's veterans including World War II Code Talkers, World War II Tuskegee Airmen, Vietnam POW's and two Medal of Honor recipients.

Later in the day the group of motorcyclists arrived in Meridian where 14 military and civilian motorcycles from NAS Meridian, Miss., joined the welcome party at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center.
