WASHINGTON (NNS) -- The Navy announced in NAVADMIN 035/12, Jan. 27, the Navy Equal Opportunity Advisor Professional Development Training Symposium will be held Feb. 7-9, at the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) aboard Patrick Air Force Base, Cocoa Beach, Fla.
The required annual professional development training for equal opportunity advisors will include briefs by senior leadership and equal opportunity and diversity subject matter experts, as well as experienced training professionals. No registration fee will be charged to participants.
"This is an important opportunity for all Navy equal opportunity advisors to network with others in their field, as well as learn the latest information available to keep their skills up-to-date," said George Bradshaw, director of Navy Equal Opportunity. "They serve a critical role in today's Navy, and these training events help ensure they have every tool they need to execute their mission."
