NORFOLK, Va. (NNS) -- The Navy Warfare Development Command (NWDC) launched the Navy Center for Innovation Blog Aug. 27, as a forum to share, debate and propose new ideas to challenge conventional thinking and solve issues confronting the Navy.
Hosted on NWDC's website at https://www.nwdc.navy.mil/ncoi/blog/default.aspx, the blog is a partnership with the Office of Naval Research, the Naval Postgraduate School, the Naval War College, the Marine Corps Combat Development Command and NWDC.
"Earlier this summer at our Junior Leader Innovation Symposium, participants expressed a strong desire for a central forum to propose, debate, and spawn cross-domain ideas and the Navy Center for Innovation Blog is an answer to that desire," said Rear Adm. Terry B. Kraft, commander, NWDC. "The Symposium attendees also said they would like something similar in a classified environment and we are developing that for the SIPRNET."
NWDC, as the Navy's executive agent for Concept Generation and Concept Development, will harvest some of the ideas discussed on the blog and move them forward from concept to implementation. Current concepts under consideration for implementation will also be posted on the blog and comments solicited by visitors.
The blog will also carry links and RSS feeds from many popular Navy blogs, providing a one-stop shop for discussions around naval innovation.

This is a great idea! I hope a flood of ideas come streaming in. Please don't forget, many great ideas are not game changers but rather time savers that buy back intellectual space to think of game changers. Good luck!
