WASHINGTON (NNS) -- The results of the fiscal year 2016 Command Master Chief (CMDCM) and Command Senior Chief (CMDCS) Selection Boards were released Feb. 24 in NAVADMIN 040/16 for CMDCM and 041/16 for CMDCS.

Of the 98 eligible master chief applicants, 75 were selected, and 107 senior chiefs were selected from a pool of 148 eligible applicants.

The first selection for CMDCS was made in 2006 providing earlier leadership opportunity for senior enlisted, and the rating formally established last year. Sailors selected for CMDCS from this board will convert to the new rating and no longer have the option to convert back to their source rating.

NAVADMINs 040/16 and 041/16 can be found on www.npc.navy.mil.
