The Arabian Gulf (Apr. 17, 2003) -- Rear Adm. Atsugi, Japan (Apr. 17, 2003) -- During the memorial service for Lt. Nathan D. White, a silent display portraying a man of duty, devotion, and courage stands alone as a reminder of the sacrifices that people make during the times of war.  Lt. White, an F/A-18 pilot with the Dambusters of Strike Fighter Squadron One Nine Five (VFA-195) was killed in action while conducting a mission in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Central Command Area of Responsibility (Apr. 8, 2003) -- U.S. Navy Chaplain, Lt. Cmdr. John Denton visits with U.S. Marine Corps. Cpl. Marco Chavez while in the casualty receiving area of Fleet Hospital Three (FH-3).  Chavez suffered upper and lower back strains as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Southern Iraq. Personnel of FH-3, the Navy's first Expeditionary Medical Facility to be deployed in a combat zone, have provided lifesaving treatment to more than 200 Coalition Forces, Displaced Citizens and Enemy Prisoners of War during their first week of operation.
