Aircraft moved to the base include F-15 Strike Eagles from the Louisiana Air National Guard 159th Fighter Wing based at NAS JRB New Orleans, F/A-18 Hornets from Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 204 stationed at NAS Belle Chasse, La. and F/A-18 Super Hornets assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 122 stationed at NAS Lemoore, Calif. that were temporally deployed to New Orleans for annual training.
