100911-N-3154P-097 ITALY (Sep. 11, 2010) 100911-N-3154P-106: USS KEARSARGE, At Sea (Sep. 11, 2010) An AV-8B Harrier with Marine Medium Tilt-rotor Squadron (VMM) 266 (REIN) takes off from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) during routine flight operations. The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) is en route to Pakistan to help provide relief to flood-stricken regions. Kearsarge ARG and 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit are executing an early deployment to the region in support of ongoing humanitarian aid and disaster relief operations.
