ARANDIS, Namibia (April 28, 2011) Namibian Defense Force (NDF) Sergeant Eugene M. Salionga, an explosive ordnance technician student, attaches a non-electric blasting cap to the detonation priming loop as Chief Explosive Ordnance Technician Justin Berlien, assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 11, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, looks on. Navy EOD technicians and the NDF are engaging in a joint training seminar to enhance their understanding of safely handling and disposing of unexploded ordnance. EODMU-11 is partnering with the Namibian Defense Forces EOD and Police Explosive Control Unit to support the Humanitarian Mine Action program by providing familiarization with International Mine Action Standards.
