CHARLESTOWN, Mass. (Nov. 8, 2012) Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Christopher Haws, assigned to USS Constitution, sews a patch into Constitution's main top sail during winter maintenance with Naval Historical Heritage Command Detachment Boston. Constitution is the world's oldest commissioned warship afloat. She defended the sea lanes against threat from 1797 to 1855, much like the mission of today's Navy.
