NEW YORK HARBOR (Nov. 10, 2012) Cmdr. William Holiman, command chaplain aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), briefs Sailors in the hangar bay before they go ashore to help with relief efforts. More than 130 Sailors and Marines assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) volunteered to help remove debris from the neighborhoods, roads, and alleys. Wasp, the amphibious transport dock USS San Antonio (LPD 17), and the dock landing ship USS Carter Hill (LSD 50) are positioned in New York Harbor to provide relief support to areas affected by Hurricane Sandy.
