QUEENS, N.Y. (Nov. 10, 2012) Chief Fire Controlman Morgan Cook, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD1), removes a wood pillar from a roadway that was decimated by Hurricane Sandy. Wasp, the amphibious transport dock USS San Antonio (LPD 17), and the dock landing ship USS Carter Hill (LSD 50) are positioned in New York Harbor to provide relief support to areas affected by Hurricane Sandy.
