SINGAPORE (April 18, 3013) Ambassador David Adelman addresses the crew of the littoral combat ship USS Freedom (LCS 1) over the ship's 1MC after its arrival in Singapore. Freedom is on an eight-month deployment to Southeast Asia. The littoral combat ship platforms are designed to employ modular mission packages that can be configured for surface warfare, mine countermeasures, or anti-submarine warfare.
