NORFOLK (April 25, 2013) Australian Army Lt. Col. Simeon Ward addresses Sailors and Marines assigned to the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) 2, the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade (2nd MEB) and coalition partners for a sunrise ceremony in commemoration of Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) Day in the ship's hangar bay during Bold Alligator 2013. The ceremony was held in honor of a national day of remembrance in Australia that marks the anniversary of military actions during World War I.
