PENSACOLA, Fla. (May 9, 2013) Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class Crew Coordinator Pete Heinlein, assigned to the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, leads the ground demonstration prior to the pilots walk-down for a pilot proficiency training flight. While the Blue Angels' 2013 air show season has been canceled due to sequestration, the pilots fly individual sorties to maintain proficiency in the F/A-18 jets.
