CORONADO, Calif. (May 23, 2013) Capt. Edward W. Eidson gives his remarks during a change of command ceremony at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. Capt. Robert A. Baughman relieved Eidson as commander of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group (EODGRU) 1. EODGRU-1 provides operational EOD capability as required for the location, identification, rendering safe, recovery, field evaluation and disposal of all explosive ordnance including chemical and nuclear weapons within the boundaries of U.S. 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th Fleets.
