CORONADO, Calif. (May 23, 2013) Vice Adm. Gerald Beaman, center, commander of U.S. 3rd Fleet, returns a salute with Capt. Robert A. Baughman during a change of command ceremony at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. Baughman relieved Capt. Edward W. Eidson as commander of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group (EODGRU) 1. EODGRU-1 provides operational EOD capability as required for the location, identification, rendering safe, recovery, field evaluation and disposal of all explosive ordnance including chemical and nuclear weapons within the boundaries of U.S. 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th Fleets.
