PACIFIC OCEAN (June 26, 2013) The Arleigh burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93), top left, the Royal Australian Navy guided-missile frigate HMAS Sydney (FFG 03), USS Preble (DDG 88), two Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force P-3 aircraft assigned to Patrol Squadron (VP) 5, and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Forcedestroyer JS Murasame (DD 101) are underway together during Pacific Bond 2013. Pacific Bond is a U.S. Navy, Royal Australian Navy, and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force maritime exercise designed to improve interoperability and further relations between nations.
