RED SEA (June 29, 2013) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Lili Xie runs chains past an An AV-8B Harrier assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 266 during flight operations aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (26th MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
