Pacific Ocean (May 31, 2005) - Sailors assigned to the Chargers of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Fourteen (HS-14), perform a phase inspection on an SH-60F Seahawk helicopter in the hangar bay aboard the conventionally powered aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). All Naval and Marine Corps aircraft require a phase inspection after so many hours of flight operations. Currently under way in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility, Kitty Hawk demonstrates power projection and sea control as the U.S. Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
