Newport News, Va. (Aug. 16, 2006) - A view of one of USS Carl Vinson's (CVN 70) dining facilities during its repair and refurbishment. Like most spaces aboard the aircraft carrier, the facility will be completely refurbished during Vinson's shipyard stay at Northrop Grumman Newport News shipyard. Carl Vinson Sailors work long hours alongside Northrop Grumman Newport News shipyard employees to ensure the ship completes its Refueling Complex Overhall (RCOH) on schedule. The RCOH is an extensive yard period that all Nimitz-class aircraft carriers go through near the mid-point of their 50-year life cycle.
