Aboard USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81)(Sep. 5, 2001) -- Gunner's Mate 2nd Class James Jensen mans a 50-caliber machine gun aboard the Churchill during a force-protection exercise. Royal Navy sailors played agressors during this portion of Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST). The Norfolk, Va., based destroyer is the first American vessel to attend FOST, a tailored and integrated training program facilitated by the Royal Navy similar to the U.S. Navy's interdeployment training.
