Newport News, Va. (Dec. 8, 2006) - Electrician's Mate 1st Class Christopher Young, a work center supervisor assigned to USS Carl Vinson's Reactor Electrical Division, speaks to Rear Adm. David Architzel, Program Executive Officer for Aircraft Carriers, and Vinson Commanding Officer Capt. Walter E. Carter Jr. regarding the progress of the ship's refueling complex overhaul (RCOH) as part of the ship visit conducted as part of the Quarterly Progress Report (QPR). The RCOH is an extensive yard period that all Nimitz-class aircraft carriers go through near the mid-point of their 50-year life cycle.
