VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (May 10, 2007) - Lt. j.g. Roger Whitley, information watch officer, monitors a map of New Orleans during Navy Expeditionary Combat Command's (NECC) Echelon Exercise at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, in order to properly prepare for hurricanes. In its first expeditionary echelon exercise, NECC trained Sailors on how to deal with natural disasters of great proportions like Hurricane Katrina.
