PORT DE PAIX, Haiti (July 25, 2010) The multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) steams off the coast of Haiti. Iwo Jima is off the coast of Haiti conducting Continuing Promise 2010 humanitarian civic assistance mission. The assigned medical and engineering staff embarked aboard Iwo Jima will work with partner nation teams to provide medical, dental, veterinary and engineering assistance to eight different nations.
