PORT-DE-PAIX, Haiti (July 30, 2010) U.S. Marine Cpl. Otis Peshlakai from Logistical Support Element, embarked aboard the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), builds an outdoor shelter at a local hospital in Port-de-Paix, Haiti, as part of Continuing Promise 2010. Iwo Jima is off the coast of Haiti conducting Continuing Promise 2010 humanitarian civic assistance mission. The assigned medical and engineering staff embarked aboard Iwo Jima are working with partner nation teams to provide medical, dental, veterinary and engineering assistance to eight different nations.
