Truman (CVN 75) heave in a line while preparing to receive relief supplies from the Military Sealift Command fast combat support ship USNS Supply (T-AOE 6). The Norfolk. Va., based ship will serve as the command center and afloat staging base in the waters off the Gulf Coast. The Navy's involvement in the humanitarian assistance operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
