Navy Mentors Get Middle School Students Excited about STEM and Internship Programs
KING GEORGE, Va. (
(June 28, 2017) - Middle school students brief their mentor, Jennifer Testa, on how they overcame technical hurdles to ensure the robot they built will expeditiously locate mines and deliver supplies to troops in fictitious scenarios at the 2017 Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division sponsored STEM Summer Academy. Testa spoke to parents attending the event about STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) opportunities, including high school and college internships available throughout Navy and Department of Defense laboratories.
